Sprinkler Save in Paint Factory
Fire Valve Services reports to the Sprinkler Engineers Society that on 6th February 2006 at a Call Centre Merseyside, the bearings in an air conditioning duct motor had seized causing it to overheat and set on fire. A single 68º sprinkler nearby operated to extinguish the fire. There was minimal damage but it could have been quite serious without the timely intervention of the automatic sprinkler.
The head was replaced and the system back in operation within a couple of hours.
