National Fire Sprinkler Network Parliamentary Seminar - 4th February 2008
This year’s theme was: Reducing the impact of Fire on Communities and the Environment. Once again, the Seminar was sponsored by the All-Parliamentary Fire Safety and Rescue Group and kindly supported by Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions.
The NFSN have been very successful in lobbying for improved standards and legislation for greater legal measures for sprinklers within our communities and this Seminar provided us with a platform to raise issues such as fire protection in warehouses, care homes and hotels.
With each passing year, the numbers of delegates attending our All-Parliamentary Fire Safety and Rescue Group Seminars has significantly increased. This years seminar saw a 25% increase in the number of registered delegates reflecting the importance of this event and the issues that were presented and debated.
The seminar was attended by 130 senior UK Fire and rescue Service Chief Fire Officers, Leading Insurers, Members of Parliament, Lords, Sir ken Knight the chief advisor to HM Government for Fire and Parmit Dhanda, The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Fire.
