Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have shared information concerning a successful sprinkler activation at a large engineering facility at Inchinnan, Renfrew, on Sunday 26th October. The system is a tank fed wet pipe system using pendant heads. Wisbech res care premises sprinkler save

A fire in a bedroom was extinguished last night (October 15) by a sprinkler system before fire crews arrived, minimising the damage of what would have been a severe fire. Two crews from Wisbech were called to a fire at an address in the town at around 10.15pm. The fire was out before crews arrived and everyone had safely evacuated. Sprinkler save at Birmingham Hippodrome

At 06:21 hours on Saturday 11th October, two fire appliances from Highgate Fire Station in Birmingham were mobilised to a report of fire at the Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre, Hurst Street in the city centre. The theatre is fitted with automatic fire suppression and the sprinklers quickly extinguished the fire, which started in a faulty electrical advertising hoarding on a mezzanine floor inside the theatre.
