Amazon facility Rugeley: 13th November 2016

On Sunday 13th November 2016 at 0210, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a fire at Amazon Services Ltd, Grazeley Park, Rugeley, WS15 1UX. This is a storage facility of 63,000sqm and is 16m in height. The fire was located in the picking tower, an area of the warehouse which has 10m high steel racking. Between the racking, walkways have been installed to form four floors including ground to allow pickers access to each level. There is a small gap between the walkway and the racking system. Clarkston (Scotland) High School sprinkler save: 26th October 2016 A HIGH school was evacuated after fire broke out at a school in Clarkston, Renfrewshire. Scottish Fire and Rescue fire-fighters were called to Williamwood High School following the incident on Wednesday at 9am. On arrival, they discovered a small fire had occurred in a non-teaching area and this was extinguished by the schools sprinkler system. Crews remained on the scene for two hours. Bath multiple purpose group premises: Tuesday 20th October 2016 At 15:09 hours on Tuesday 20th October 2016, Avon F&RS received a call to a fire in a multiple purpose group premise in Milsom Street, Bath. The 60m x 40m building in question primarily comprises ground floor department store with 1st floor mixed commercial and residential (private flats) and the 2nd and 3rd floor purely residential private flats. Oxfordshire Mill: 18th September 2016

Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service were called to a fire at Worsham Mill, Minster Lovell, at 5:26 am on Sunday 18 September 2016. Four fire engines from Burford, Witney and Oxford, attended the scene. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and used high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire and positive pressure fans to ventilate the smoke. The building was protected by a sprinkler system that activated and contained the fire until the arrival of the fire service. Only one head was needed to control the blaze.
