Domestic Sprinkler System saves property: 10:20hrs on Tuesday 3rd April, Great Western Park, Didcot

Oxfordshire County Council fire appliances from Wallingford, Abingdon and Oxford fire stations were called to a kitchen fire in a second floor flat within the new development at Didcot. The call was raised by an off-duty firefighter who was in the area who heard the fire alarm sounding. Crews wearing breathing apparatus and taking a high-pressure hosereel entered the building. The flat has a domestic sprinkler system which activated and supressed the fire. Sprinklers suppress fire in motorcycle tyre buffing machine: Melksham, Wiltshire 12th April 2018

A fire started when a tyre machine developed an electrical fault, the serious fire was stopped from spreading by the activation of a sprinkler system. Fire crews from Trowbridge supported by crews from Corsham and Melksham attended the fire in the town’s Bath Road area at 08:25am on Thursday 12th April. Date of Incident - 31 May 2018 Time of incident - 23:11 Location - The Bentall Centre, Kingston Upon Thames The fire was located in a retail unit and the AFD/sprinkler system operated. Commercial system BS12845 installed and 3 appliances attended. On arrival the fire had been contained by the onsite sprinkler system. Sprinkler Save at Elmira Street, Ladywell, London.

London Fire Brigade were called at 0414 to a fire at a flat in Elmira Street, Lewisham. Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters from Lee Green, Deptford, New Cross, Forest Hill, Lewisham and surrounding fire stations attended the scene. The fire was under control at 0523. An External fire had occurred on the balcony of the flat and Fire spread into the flat operating residential sprinklers. Multiple heads operated controlling/limiting the fire to the flat. The sprinkler system installed to BS9251:2005, within the flat helped to suppress the fire.
