Avonmouth factory: 12th March 2017

FIRE-FIGHTERS raced to Filton in the early hours of this morning after a fire broke out in a factory.

Four crews responded to the callout at 2.41am, two from Avonmouth, one from Southmead and one from Temple Fire Station in Bristol.

The fire, which originated from a laser cutting machine, was extinguished by the building’s automatic suppression system, and was put out by the time crews had arrived.

Fire-fighters proceeded to inspect the building and the equipment to ensure it was safe.
